The Hoco EQ27 Fun ANC+ENC Smart AI Translation TWS Headset combines true wireless audio, intelligent noise reduction, touch controls and AI-powered translation features in a compact Metal Gray headset. Designed for everyday listening, calls, communication and multilingual conversations, the EQ27 connects to compatible devices through Bluetooth 5.4 and works with its dedicated companion app to provide additional AI and translation functions.
Bluetooth 5.4 provides the wireless connection between the Hoco EQ27 and compatible devices such as smartphones and tablets. Pairing is designed to be straightforward. Opening the charging case automatically powers on the headsets and places them into pairing mode. The user can then enable Bluetooth on the connected device, locate “HOCO EQ27” among the available Bluetooth devices and select it to establish the connection. A confirmation tone is heard once pairing has been completed.
The EQ27 combines Active Noise Cancellation and Environmental Noise Cancellation. ANC is designed to reduce surrounding ambient noise while listening, while ENC is used to improve call clarity by reducing unwanted background noise. The ENC system uses dual-ear quad microphones, providing four microphones across the two headsets for noise reduction during calls. This combination allows the headset to address both the listening environment and background noise during voice communication.
Smart touch controls are built into the headsets so common playback and call functions can be operated without having to control them directly from the connected device. A single click can play or pause music and answer or end a call. Double clicking moves to the next track, while a triple click returns to the previous track. A long press activates the connected device's voice assistant where that function is supported by the device.
Beyond its wireless audio functions, the Hoco EQ27 incorporates an AI Smart Big Model and supports intelligent AI dialogue together with online translation across 163 languages through its exclusive companion app. The app can be downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and provides access to the EQ27's full range of AI features and customisation options. Available app controls include battery information, noise reduction settings, EQ effects, touch-control customisation, headset search, AI assistant functions, light music and additional customisation options.
The companion app provides six AI functions intended for different communication and translation situations. Translation Mode provides real-time language translation, while Mobile Phone Earphone Mode allows the headsets to be used for phone calls and audio. Audio/Video Call Translation can translate conversations taking place during calls and does not require the other participant to have the app or a headset. Voice Notes can be used to record and transcribe spoken notes, while Free Talk Mode is designed to support more natural conversations using real-time translation. Photo Translation provides the ability to translate text contained within images.
For in-person multilingual communication, the EQ27 also supports face-to-face translation. Three scene translation modes are available for cross-language conversations, with translated text displayed in real time through the app. This provides another way to use the headset and connected smartphone when communicating with someone who speaks a different supported language.
The Hoco EQ27 is supplied with three sizes of silicone ear caps in small, medium and large. Selecting an appropriate size helps the headsets sit securely and comfortably in the ear canal while also creating the seal required for effective sound reproduction and noise cancellation. Each headset can be gently inserted and adjusted until a suitable fit is achieved.
A charging case is included for storing and recharging the headsets. Before first use, both the headsets and charging case should be fully charged. The supplied Type-C charging cable connects the case to a suitable power source through its USB-C charging port. The charging case takes approximately one hour to reach a full charge, and the headsets recharge automatically when placed inside the case. An indicator light on the case displays charging status.
