The ASUS PRIME B760M-K D4, model 90MB1DS0-M1EAY0, is a micro ATX motherboard from the ASUS Prime series built around the Intel B760 chipset and LGA1700 processor socket. It supports compatible 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core processors as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron processors, with capacity for one installed CPU. Designed for PC builders using DDR4 memory, the board combines PCIe 4.0 expansion, dual M.2 storage connectivity, SATA storage support, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity and 8-channel HD Audio in a compact micro ATX format measuring 24.4 cm wide by 21.1 cm deep.
The motherboard uses a robust power and thermal design together with ASUS firmware and software features that provide access to system performance and tuning controls. CPU settings can also be fine-tuned to support system stability and performance. The VRM heatsink and thermal pad are designed to improve the transfer of heat away from the MOSFETs and chokes, helping the motherboard manage heat around its power-delivery components. Supported DDR4 memory frequencies include 2133 MHz, 2400 MHz, 2600 MHz, 2800 MHz, 2933 MHz, 3000 MHz and 3200 MHz. Overclocked memory frequencies include 3333 MHz, 3400 MHz, 3466 MHz, 3600 MHz, 3733 MHz, 4000 MHz, 4266 MHz, 4400 MHz, 4600 MHz, 4800 MHz, 5000 MHz, 5066 MHz and 5333 MHz, with these frequencies identified as O.C. modes where applicable.
Storage expansion includes two PCIe 4.0 M.2 sockets supporting 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 Key M devices. The two M.2 connections can provide data-transfer speeds of up to 64 Gbps through PCIe 4.0, making them suitable for operating-system and application storage where the available interface speed can contribute to quicker boot and application loading. Four SATA-600 connectors are also provided for SATA storage devices, and Intel Rapid Storage Technology is supported. Available SATA RAID configurations include RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 and RAID 10.
PCIe expansion consists of one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots. The PCIe 4.0 x16 connection provides the motherboard's primary expansion interface for a compatible graphics card, with the board designed to provide PCIe 4.0 GPU connectivity when used with supported 12th or 13th Generation Intel processors. The motherboard also supports onboard graphics output when the installed CPU provides the required graphics capability, with both HDMI and VGA interfaces available at the rear.
Wired networking is provided by Realtek 2.5 Gb Ethernet. The 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface is designed to reduce CPU overhead while providing high TCP and UDP throughput for faster and smoother network data transfers. Software supplied for use with the motherboard includes Armoury Crate, ASUS AI Suite III, ASUS Fan Xpert, PC Cleaner and ASUS CPU-Z. Norton 360 Deluxe is supplied as a 60-day trial, and WinRAR is also included.
