Product Description
The ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI is an ATX motherboard built around the Intel B760 chipset and LGA1700 processor socket. It supports 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core processors as well as compatible Intel Pentium Gold and Celeron processors, with support for a single installed CPU. Designed to provide a foundation for gaming and multitasking systems, it combines DDR5 memory support, PCIe expansion, M.2 and SATA storage connectivity, integrated wired and wireless networking, 8-channel HD Audio and a broad selection of external and internal connections.
Four 288-pin DIMM slots provide a maximum supported memory capacity of 192GB using unbuffered RAM. The board uses a dual-channel memory architecture and supports Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP), allowing compatible memory profiles to be used. Supported memory speeds include 4800MHz, 5000MHz, 5200MHz, 5400MHz and 5600MHz, with overclocked memory speeds extending through 5800MHz, 6000MHz, 6200MHz, 6400MHz, 6600MHz, 6800MHz, 7000MHz and 7200MHz. Memory integrity support includes non-ECC and on-die ECC.
Expansion options are provided for graphics cards, storage devices and other compatible add-in hardware. The motherboard includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot operating in x4 mode and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. Storage expansion is handled by three M.2 Key M sockets using PCIe 4.0 connectivity. Two of these accept 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 devices, while the third also accommodates the longer 22110 form factor. Four SATA-600 connectors provide additional storage connectivity and support RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 and RAID 10. Intel Rapid Storage Technology is also supported.
Thermal management is supported by dedicated M.2 heatsinks and a VRM heatsink design, helping manage heat around important motherboard components. The board also incorporates a 12+1 DrMOS power-stage configuration together with ASUS DIGI+ VRM, ASUS ProCool and military-grade TUF chokes. TUF 5K black metallic capacitors, a six-layer PCB and the wider collection of TUF protection technologies form part of the board's hardware design.
For network connectivity, the ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI provides 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet together with integrated wireless networking supporting IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac and 802.11ax standards, including Wi-Fi 6. Bluetooth 5.2 is also integrated for connecting compatible wireless devices. Two aerial connections are provided, and an ASUS Wi-Fi moving aerial is included with the motherboard.
The integrated audio system provides high-definition 8-channel sound and supports both High Definition Audio and Digital Theater Systems (DTS) standards. Rear audio connectivity includes line-in, microphone, line-out/headphones, rear line-out and centre/subwoofer mini-jack connections, together with an SPDIF output. An internal audio header is also available for compatible case and system audio connections.
A wide selection of USB connections is provided. Rear interfaces include one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and one USB 2.0 port. Internal connectivity includes a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 header, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers and four USB 2.0 headers. Additional internal connections include Thunderbolt and serial headers, providing further options for compatible system hardware.
Display connectivity consists of one DisplayPort and one HDMI interface. These connections support the motherboard's onboard graphics functionality when a processor with the required integrated graphics capability is installed. The rear connectivity area also includes the 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection, wireless aerial connections, SPDIF output and the individual analogue audio connections.
ASUS incorporates a broad collection of system-building, protection and convenience technologies into the motherboard. ASUS OptiMem II is included alongside TUF LANGuard, ASUS TUF Protection, ESD Guards and overvoltage protection. ASUS SafeSlot Core+, ASUS SafeDIMM and the stainless-steel rear I/O construction provide additional hardware features, while the pre-mounted I/O shield is integrated into the motherboard.
ASUS Q-Design features include M.2 Q-Latch, Q-DIMM, Q-LED and Q-Slot, while ASUS EZ DIY and the CPU socket lever protector provide further system-building features. The board also includes Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 and Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 support. Firmware is based on an AMI BIOS with UEFI BIOS functionality, ASUS EZ Flash 3 and ASUS UEFI BIOS EZ Mode. CrashFree BIOS 3 is also included, while wake functionality supports Wake on PME and Wake on LAN.
For lighting customisation, ASUS Aura Sync and AURA RGB Lighting Control allow compatible lighting components and devices to be coordinated within a system. This enables RGB lighting effects across supported hardware to be synchronised as part of a compatible gaming setup.
The motherboard uses the standard ATX form factor and measures 30.5cm wide by 24.4cm deep. Power connections consist of a 24-pin main power connector, an 8-pin ATX12V connector and a 4-pin ATX12V connector. Included accessories comprise two Serial ATA cables, an ASUS Wi-Fi moving aerial, two M.2 rubber packages, an M.2 screw package, a TUF certification card and a TUF GAMING sticker.
