The ASUS ROG Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi, model 90MB1K30-M0EAY0, is a compact mini ITX motherboard built around the AMD B850 chipset and Socket AM5 platform. Designed for gaming, enthusiast and everyday computing systems where space is limited, it combines support for AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 Series processors with modern DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 expansion, high-speed storage and extensive wired and wireless connectivity. Its 17 cm by 17 cm dimensions make it suitable for compact PC configurations while retaining a broad range of performance, expansion and system-management features.

The AM5 processor socket accommodates one compatible AMD Ryzen processor from the Ryzen 7000, 8000 or 9000 Series. Power delivery is supported by a 10+2+1 phase design with 70A power stages, ASUS Extreme Engine Digi+, ASUS DIGI+ VRM, ASUS ProCool and 5K Black Metallic Capacitors. The board also incorporates ASUS TPU, or TurboV Processing Unit, alongside a collection of hardware technologies intended to support configuration and operation of a performance-focused system.

DDR5 SDRAM support provides a maximum memory capacity of 96 GB, with memory operating at a specified bus clock of 4200 MHz when overclocked. The memory implementation uses a dual-channel architecture and supports unbuffered memory, non-ECC operation and on-die ECC. AMD EXPO technology and ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile, or AEMP, are also supported, while ASUS OptiMem II and ASUS SafeDIMM form part of the motherboard's memory-related hardware feature set.

Expansion and storage options include one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two M.2 sockets designed for 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 Key M devices. PCIe 5.0 connectivity is provided for the two M.2 storage connections, with RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10 support specified. Two SATA-600 connectors are also available for Serial ATA storage and likewise support RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10. ASUS M.2 Q-Latch and M.2 Q-Slide features are provided to make working with compatible M.2 hardware more convenient, while PCIe Slot Q-Release forms part of the board's DIY-oriented design.

The motherboard provides a wide selection of external and internal connections. Its interfaces include HDMI, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with DisplayPort functionality, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 connectivity. Internal headers add further USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 connections as well as an internal audio header. This combination allows the compact board to accommodate a variety of peripherals, case connections and compatible USB devices.

Network connectivity covers both wired and wireless use. The integrated LAN interface supports 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, while wireless networking supports the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards, including Wi-Fi 7. Bluetooth 5.4 is also integrated. An ASUS Wi-Fi Q-antenna is supplied with the motherboard, and two aerial connections are available on the board for wireless connectivity.

For systems using supported processor-provided graphics, onboard display connectivity is available and requires a suitable CPU. HDMI is included alongside a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface with DisplayPort capability, with DisplayPort 1.4 listed among the motherboard's supported standards. These display connections complement the dedicated PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slot available for compatible expansion hardware.

Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC4080 codec and provides eight-channel HD Audio. The audio implementation supports High Definition Audio and DTS Sound Unbound and incorporates SupremeFX Shielding technology together with a Savitech SV3H712 amplifier. Audio functionality also includes jack retasking and audio jack detection. Physical audio connections comprise microphone input, line output, line input and SPDIF output, providing both analogue and digital audio connection options.

ASUS has incorporated a range of setup and DIY features into the ROG Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi. ASUS Q-Design technologies include M.2 Q-Latch, PCIe Slot Q-Release, Q-LED, Q-DIMM and Q-Slot, while ASUS EZ DIY contributes additional installation and maintenance functionality. A pre-mounted I/O shield is fitted, and the motherboard includes a BIOS FlashBack button and BIOS FlashBack LED. ASUS Aura Sync is also supported for compatible lighting customisation within a coordinated system.

The motherboard uses an AMI BIOS with UEFI BIOS functionality and ASUS EZ Flash 3. If you chose DPD for your delivery, you will receive another email and/or SMS on the day that your parcel is "Out for Delivery" letting you know the time, within an hour or so, to expect the DPD driver. If you chose AnPost for your delivery, you can check the AnPost tracking website the next working day to see if your parcel has been put out for delviery by AnPost, you can then expect delivery at the usual time your AnPost delivery person passes through your area. Please note, unexpected issues with transportation, roads, traffic, and weather can affect this estimated delivery date/time.

• If nobody is home to accept, inspect, and sign for the delivery, DPD / AnPost may, if appropriate, leave your parcel in a "safe place". If there is no "Safe place" available, the parcel will be returned to your local DPD / AnPost depot, you can then arrange a re-delivery date with DPD / AnPost.
